Red Velvet is a generous, modern, powerful stallion with a lot of presence and a fantastic
movement mechanism

Red Velvet demonstrates time and again that he belongs to the absolute top of his age group. As a four-year-old, he managed to qualify for the final of the VSN competition with impressive scores. There, he caught everyone's attention thanks to his fantastic rideability and expressive trot. With multiple scores above 9, he concluded the final with a magnificent top-5 finish.

Last year, Red Velvet also participated successfully in the Pavo Cup. He qualified comfortably for the semi-final, where he achieved an impressive score of 84.2%, securing a ticket to the final with flying colors. In the final, he confirmed his class with another 84.2%, good for a brilliant fifth place. In doing so, he received a 9 for his trot and canter, among other achievements.

Red Velvet shone once again in the Pavo Cup this year, this time among the five-year-old horses. Under Dionne Korringa, he won the pre-selection in Schijndel with, among other scores, an 8 for his walk, a 9 for his trot, a 9 for his canter, and a 9 for his rideability.

We are incredibly proud of these fantastic achievements and look forward with confidence and expectation to the promising future of this impressive duo.

Red Velvet was born and raised with us in Hapert. As the son of top sire Vitalis, he immediately impressed with his conformation, beautiful front, and exceptional movements. Vitalis is known as one of the world's best dressage sires, with countless successful Grand Prix offspring, including the winner of the Aachen Grand Prix, Vamos Amigos (Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour), and the European Championship team bronze medalist Vayron (Daniel Bachmann Andersen).

“An incredibly modern, very athletic stallion with a beautiful movement and lots of energy,” said Breeding Director Bernhard Thoben at the Oldenburg Main Preliminary Test in Ankum.

His dam, Meggie May, competes successfully in the sport at Z2 level and descends from the KWPN and Oldenburg-approved Prix St. George stallion El Capone, as well as the preferred stallions Rousseau and Jazz. From this very valuable mare line come, among others, the Z2-classified United (by Havidof) and none other than the KWPN-approved Inclusive (by Everdale), who, under the saddle of Charlotte Fry, achieved a 3rd place in the Grand Prix of Compiègne, was 4th in the Grand Prix of Lier, and stood on the podium in the Grand Prix of Opglabbeek.

Red Velvet certainly did not inherit his talent from just anyone. Despite her young age, his dam, Meggie May, can be considered an extremely valuable broodmare. In addition to Red Velvet, she also laid the foundation for the premium stallion Real Legend (by Desperado), bred by us, who is now receiving every opportunity in both sport and breeding under the name 'Djacomo' at Dressurpferde Leistungszentum Lodbergen. After the Oldenburg Hauptkörung, we began breaking Red Velvet in at a relaxed pace. He has a very fine and reliable character and shows tremendous willingness to work under saddle! In trot and canter, he excels with his power, action, and scope in his movements. He possesses tremendous power and balance with great shoulder freedom.

Red Velvet is available fresh daily.
Red Velvet meets the radiological requirements of the KWPN and all German studbooks.
